Shirley and I have just been back home yesterday from a brief sojourn in the south to where we drove the first thing last Thursday morning.
May I take this opportunity of expressing how much we have enjoyed the 2011 Disability Awards event in my capacity of being the Special Guest last Wednesday night? We can imagine what a huge amount of tremendous work your Forum officers and members put in making it so the glittering occasion. I was really very honoured to be invited to present awards and also to be seated with the great and the good of Walsall !.
We send our good wishes to your Walsall Disability Forum for another successful and productive year in making the borough of Walsall a truly barrier-free one and also a thoroughly inclusive society.

It was a good evening again last night – I particularly enjoyed the guest speaker from University of Wolverhampton; I thought he was excellent. Well done to you all and I hope that you can now enjoy a well-earned break!

We just had to contact you this morning and to once again say what a great night it was last night. All the Awards evenings have been good but last night was one of the best we thought.
Thank you for all last night's hard work, it certainly paid off, there were some inspirational people and organisations receiving well deserved acknowlegement and the meal was a very good one.
We hope that you now enjoy a well deserved Easter break.

Moving the Youth Award to before the interval worked well. I know they all chose to stay but that may well be because it is the Easter holidays so they have no school today.
